ABOVE: You are welcomed to "Who is In and Who is Out" collection on the gallery page. It is my hope that you will enjoy the development of my unique painting process. It is also my hope that the exhibition will particularly cause you to reflect, to question and think about the important issues facing the world. Countries decide who is allowed in and who is kept out. They decide who and what is protected and who and what is left at risk. Whether it's human trafficking victims in Africa and Asia, the injustice against the indigenous women and girls in North America or our increasingly polluted environment, I hope my exhibition motivates you to explore the world of Who is In and Who is Out, so that we can all contribute to make our world a better place for everyone.

Impact 2020 (Multimedia)
for Providence University College and Theological Seminary, Otterburne.
"This pemanent artwork is made up of three 36” x 78” panels and fills a 9 ft x 6.5 ft wall. It is displayed in a busy central location on-campus where students come to take classes and enjoy a Pilots’ game in the nearby gymnasium. The work of art created for Providence shows a visual narrative of the Impact 2020 journey. It beautifully depicts our Otterburne campus and includes the iconic belltower. It shows the interplay of academics and spiritual life. It highlights different programs and showcases students – students at study and in classes, as well as students playing sports, making music, and graduating." Samantha Groenendijk, VP External Relations.

"While furthering the development of my technique in my Winnipeg studio, the news of a missing woman whose remains was later found on October 28, 2018, broke. The disturbing frequency of incidence like that in North America brought to my mind the Boko Haram news in Nigeria, which over 200 girls were abducted from their school in 2014 - less than 100 of them was confirmed rescued by the end of 2019. As an artist and youth advocate, I continue to wonder the agony the victims and their families would be going through. My body of work, Who is In and Who is Out is to bring attention to the various social calamities facing our humanity." Yisa Akinbolaji
